When Kari Biesendorfer the Telecom Pioneers Program Director invited Minnesota Pioneers to assist in promoting the Power Up To Read May 4 – 6 at the International Reading Conference, there was no shortage of volunteers. 

Kari Biesendorfer stated Qwest volunteers were able to interest many people in the Power Up To Read program and generated valuable leads from convention attendees

 
     
  The following Qwest Pioneers answered the call to help and learned more about the PUTR  program in the bargain:  Lee and Steve Poirier, Dave and Barb Hemmer, Harry and LaVaughn Osborn, Sally Bolster, Pat Jeukens, LuAnn Chambliss and Kathy and Roger Hanson.
