MN METRO QWEST PIONEERS DONATED “BREAKFAST IN A BAG”

TO LOCAL RONALD McDONALD HOUSE

Qwest Pioneers from the Metro Council prepared and packed 125 cloth tote bags for families experiencing extended stays at the Minneapolis Ronald McDonald House.

Pat Jeukens, Lee Poirer and Sue Reiling delivered the Breakfast Bags on April 1.  Each bag contained breakfast items such as nutrition bars, cereal bars, fruit, yogurt, muffins, chips and juice.  Each bag has attached a Breakfast Buddy Bear, which were made by Metro Council Pioneers.

Katie Dahill, Director of Volunteer Services, accepted the Breakfast Bags, then took the three and MN Chapter President, Kathy Hanson, on a tour of the facility that provides a home away from home for 48 families who need to stay near a family member being treated at local hospitals.

Thank you each and everyone who helped make the Sloppy Joe fundraiser a big success.
We raised over $390.00 toward Birthday in the Bag.

By the end of 2007 Qwest Pioneers will have handed out over 200 gift bags to area food shelves!

Thank you each again for your support.
