Wagon Master Letter

                                    January 31, 2008

Hello Family Campers.

I was at the bakery having my usual morning coffee, trying to solve the world’s problems with the assistance of a bunch of old curmudgeons when I heard a robin.

Wow the last day of January and spring is here.  A robin told me so.  Then my friend at the counter said,  “You’re wrong!!  It’s that new clock they got for Christmas.”  Sure enough it was not spring.  It was a clock that chirped like a robin at 7:00 every morning and evening.   Oh well, It is still time to think about getting the camper ready and registering for the 2008 events that are coming up.

First, the International Rally is being held in Arizona on May 6, 7, and 8 at the Voyager RV Park in Tucson, AZ.  Kathy and I will be leaving on Monday April 28th and wandering to Tucson.  Others will probably be leaving earlier than that.

Those of us attending will be rushing back to our home state so we can be ready for our spring Camporee.  Louie Stunek has spent a lot of time picking out a place for the TPFC, to hold the Annual Spring Fling.  Yea, I suppose Peter and Lori had some input but

I think Louie rules the roost. Check www.qwestpioneers.org/Minnesota . Go to the link for 10000 Lakes Family Campers.  Then click on 2008 Camporees.

The Spring Camporee Is May 16, 17, and 18 at the St Cloud/Clearwater Minnesota RV Park.  For reservations call 320-558-2876 or 888-448-2876.  Reservations are available after February 1 2008.

I know for a fact that Peter and Lori have planned an enjoyable week end for us all.

You know we had a very successful International Rally in August.  Dave Hemmer had the pleasure of presenting the Chapter with $3000 as a donation. And the Clubs & Councils who helped with manpower received a check for $1000.  WOW!!

Gary and Marie Babcock have made reservation s for the Fall Camporee at Sunnybrook City Campground in Wadena, Minnesota on August 16, 17 and 18, 2008.  Check our website for mare details.  We are still seeking a volunteer for the Mystery trip in September.

Dues are due again. Send your check to Lorna Leier at 1900 Aglen Street, Roseville, MN 55113.
