MN QWEST PIONEERS & MN VIKINGS TEAM UP
ON HUG-A-BEAR HOLIDAY EVENT AT U of M
 CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL IN MINNEAPOLIS 

When the Minnesota Vikings asked the Metro Qwest Pioneers
to provide a bunch of  Viking themed Hug-a-Bears
for an upcoming  Community Tuesdays event, Pioneers readily
agreed  to do so.  The result: about 40 loveable Purple, White
and Gold Hug-a-Bears. 

 On November 25, Viking players, Qwest Pioneers
 and U of M Children’s Hospital Staff visited room-bound kids
and gave each a Hug-a-Bear And other autographed items
like caps and footballs.

Steve Hutchinson, a favorite Viking player, and his wife Landyn
hosted a festive Thanksgiving dinner for patients able to leave
their rooms and their families. 
He gave out Hug-a-Bears and autographed items to kids attending
the dinner.  

Qwest is the official sponsor of MN Viking Community Tuesdays. 

 This event was a nice showcase for the Hug-a-Bear project.  
Thanks to Mavis Hjulberg, Chair of the Hug-a-Bear project,
and the people who work on the bears for putting together the
Hug-a-Bears for the Community Tuesdays event in record time.
